Change

This has been a year of change in many ways. Austin had his first year of football. We had so much fun going to his games. He played receiver. There were many cold nights watching him practice. Brian, Tom's younger brother was Austin's head coach this year. The season has ended and we feel like we have so much time on our hands.
We moved this past April. This was so sad for us. We miss our home so much, but we know it was the right decision. We moved back to our hometown. Tom's business is established there and we are coming to our slow time. Of course this means more time with him.
We have so many beautiful memories at our home. Many friends came and visited. Many people stayed over. We feel lucky to have been able to live here. We love that our kids were able to live on a small farm and learn so many life lessons. Tom did such a beautiful job of remodeling our home.
There have been a lot of blessings coming from our move. We are able to live closer to family. Karma has been able to come and visit more.
Our new home is close to many hiking trails. We found a beautiful lake within two miles walking distance. The kids have taken their bikes up there. It has an old abandoned house right on the lake. We also found turtles and many species of birds.
Our new backyard is very inviting. We also live pretty far out of town so the property is pretty private. We have enjoyed many nights sitting around the campfire this year. Maybe even a few to many marshmallows.
It seems every time I look at the kids they have changed. Becky turned thirteen this past summer and Austin is eleven. They both have been enjoying riding their bikes around the neighborhood. This is our first home that the kids have had friends in the neighborhood. It has been really fun. I'm really happy they can ride their bikes to their friends houses.
The area we live in has so much wildlife. We have been enjoying trying to spot the elk herd off the highway as we drive by.
On the way to their over nighter up the mountain.

 Beck and her friend Zoey.

This summer we went up to hurricane ridge.

Love this girl, not only is she cute, she is also super sweet.

I am so jealous, haha! I would love to move back to our hometown. Every time we're on the peninsula, my husband gets an earful.

We're in the process of moving, even farther away- although we will be next to my husband's family so I am very excited about that. While packing, though, I found something that should belong to you- it's a bible from Grandma.

I really feel like your family would cherish it and keep it safe. If you'd like it, could you email me your mailing address? juliecmeyer @ gmail

Hope all is well!
